One of the biggest novelties in the 2017 IFBB season is the “Elite World Ranking” that will spread up to 150.000 €, in cash prizes, to the best athletes from Men´s Physique, Classic Bodybuilding and Bikini Fitness.
With European Championships already celebrated (Spain; 4th to 7th May) and its results officially approved, the European athletes took its first points and leads the Elite Ranking in a provisional way, until results from Asian Championships (Mongolia; 18th to 20th May) will be approved and compiled.
The 2017 IFBB Elite World Ranking will be composed by 6 Top International events (Marbella, Madrid, Kuwait, Lahti, Toronto and Liverpool) beside the Continental Championships and the World Championships, so each athlete could take points in up to 8 events, this season.
After the first event, obviously are the European Champions the ones who leads the Ranking with their 9 points earned.
Important to remind that the Top 10 athletes in the Ranking, at the end of the season, will be award with the cash awards.
