Fitness and activity tracking devices are growing in popularity, but they are falling short in one area: style. Timex®, the global leader in the art of timekeeping, is excited to announce today the debut of the Timex® IQ+Move, which combines all the signature elements of an analog watch while discreetly housing sophisticated modern technology that tracks daily activity, like steps, distance, calories burned, and sleep metrics. It’s a fitness band, incognito!

While fitness tracking bands offer genuine health benefits, there are a number of everyday scenarios, like a professional office setting, a formal event, or a date – where a gaudy silicon band can clash with the image you are trying to portray and make people question your judgment. Consumers are searching for a hybrid product able to fit this very situation.

That’s why Timex, the global leader in watchmaking, has poured its 160 years of experience and resources into solving this problem with the launch of the IQ+ Move.

In keeping with the brand’s tradition of innovation, we’ve designed the Timex IQ+ Move for men and women with enhanced Intelligent Quartz movements and discreet smartphone connectivity, so no one ever needs to know you’re wearing an activity tracker,” said Brian Pemberton, Senior Vice President, Sport & Advanced Technology. “The IQ+ collection combines modern technology with Timex’s trusted craftsmanship to give consumers more than just a watch. This is just the start—you can expect to see a number of connected and enhanced Timex timepieces arriving in the coming months.”
